Women face a lot of challenges while trying to balance their work as well as domestic life. Speaking about equality has not made things easier. Because even today when it comes to working at corporate levels men are paid more than women.

Society has been men centric when it comes to financial needs and other work. Whereas you can see that women are leading in every field. Be it coding to construction they are everywhere. There is nothing a woman cannot do. But due to society, a woman is always asked to prove her place and worth in whatever she is doing.

Women Entrepreneurship:

Women Entrepreneurship is gaining importance in India in terms of economic globalization. Though, women constitute only 25% of the economic enterprises to date. There is a lot of hard work and struggle required for a woman to gain and earn their place in economic and social fields in India. The increasing presence of women in the business field has changed the economic growth of the country. Also, household responsibility is a plus for each woman who is making her name in the business world.

Opportunities for women in India are always doubted and limited by a lot of factors. No matter how big the company would be, there will be always a question raised on how she will manage the domestic and social responsibility. Of course, there are major challenges but there is no looking back for Women entrepreneurs in India.

Amidst all the things, they never find a way back to quit and focus on all that is required to reach where they want. All they want is to be economically independent and innovative.

Namrata Banerji, Chief of Operations at Adengage and AdEngage Studios has set one such example of being a successful entrepreneur. She had a background and experience in the Management Domain. Diverting into the creative side was a challenge as well as an opportunity and there is no doubt that she nailed it so well. She started to work in the digital space when there were fewer women entrepreneurs in the same field and she developed a team of her own.

Giving creative ideas, strategies, and marketing for brands and solutions has made her more determined and focused on the positive outcome. She believes in taking up challenges which boosts her capacity to do better. Not only at work but she also believes in maintaining a proper work-life balance and does not stress to be better at both. That is how she excels and does best what she takes up.

Not just a household responsibility:

Women in India are often bound to run the house and do household chores. The society and its mentality have never changed in years. Whenever it comes to household work and handling the things at home; it is always women who are responsible for it. Why? Because she is meant to do it? No. She is not meant to do that. Women and men both are equally responsible in terms of running a house. Be it cooking, cleaning or financial help they are equally responsible to do that.

There is no such tag or any law which mentions that a woman is responsible for all that she does. The 21st century has arrived but the roots still have not changed for a lot of women in our society. There are so many Women entrepreneurs like sheroes and your story who are changing society and making a space for women entrepreneurs in India. Maintaining work-life balance is what the need of the hour is.

In one of Namrata’s recent interviews with Insight's success, she mentions that she had trying times at the start but she always enjoyed the process. She always believed in her team which gave her good and effective results from time to time.

She believes that one should enjoy the journey more than the destination which is why she has reached so far. She loves challenges and considers them to be a stepping stone to success. No wonder she is handling the business and home equally with all the responsibilities. And also, she is proving that Women Entrepreneurs can excel in their respective fields without any compromises.

Challenges and drawbacks faced by Women Entrepreneurs:

Access to finance is a major drawback that a Women Entrepreneur faces. Even in front of an investor, Men are more likely to be selected for their plans and pitches because of the societal mentality. They often think that a woman can not put her best while there are equal chances of failure in both cases. As per research, Women Entrepreneurship in India impeded a lack of identification and property in their name.

The institutional and legal capacities are critical to the growth of female-owned enterprises. Household responsibilities are demanded especially in the rural areas for women who are married and have kids. Hence, they have less time during weekdays and weekends compared to men. Lack of capital has been another drawback and challenge for them.

Need of the hour in 2020:

With awareness and education, Women entrepreneurs have come a long way from kitchen powers to engineering and many other fields. Unlike before you will find her in each stream from a basic BPO to flying charters. But there are still many requirements which will help the country to increase the percentage of working women and as entrepreneurs as well.

Women have several qualities that they can put in use and make the most of it while doing business. Some of them include determination, strong power, hard work, practical, intelligence and creativity. When all of it can be put in use together in any field the results could be mind-blowing.
